EMDR Approved Basic Training
Requirements
1. Completed 2-day Introduction to Psychotraumatology Workshop* (Part 0) conducted by TTA
AND
2. Licensed and practicing mental health professionals (i.e. psychologists, counsellors, and psychiatrists)
OR
OR
Graduate students, enrolled in a masters or doctoral program related to mental health following a licensure track actively participating in the internship phase with access to clients.
About EMDR Training Structure
EMDR Therapy Basic Training has two levels:
1. Four days of training which includes lectures, video demonstrations and supervised practice in small groups, with five sessions of case consultation with an approved EMDR consultant over the following months for Level 1.
2. Followed by a similar structure for Level 2, upon completion of Part 1 requirements, i.e., 4 days of training which includes lectures, video demonstrations and supervised practice in small groups. And five sessions of case consultation with an approved EMDR consultant over the following months.
3. Please take note: Case Consultations for both levels are priced separately from trainings.
4. Certificate of Completion for this basic training is given by completing all the above requirements. Those participants unable to complete the course requirements within 3 years after the training will not receive the Certificate of Completion and will have to repeat the entire Basic EMDR Training.
